Physical Education – Why You Need a VCE PE Tutor

Posted On August 8, 2020
Physical education (PE) is a subject offered in Melbourne schools for the attainment of VCE. It encapsulates elements of elements of biology, chemistry, nutrition, psychology and physics at the rudimentary level, and presents them in relation to sport and physical activity. If you take biology in particular, you will find many overlaps.
PE is a wide-ranging subject and incorporates many hands-on practicals, however the assessments are purely on the theoretical side of things, so you don’t need to be an athlete! It’s definitely more enjoyable if you like sports and are passionate about movement, but can be done purely out of scientific intrigue.
PE, like the big three (biology, chemistry and physics) is very much a science. Although there is no complicated math, you will still be asked to interpret graphs and look at various charts. Overall the subject is very enjoyable, but can be quite tricky, especially due to the large volume of information and some complicated scientific ideas.
Tutoring for Physical Education (PE)
Often times, you will receive marks in PE for good reasoning and having a deep understanding. It is therefore less important to memorise every single fitness test, for example, and more important to learn a few key examples and know how to apply that knowledge to relevant questions.
This is where PE tutors come in! They are able to help you learn the intricacies of the course and better prepare you for common problems. PE also heavily requires the use of scientific language, the lack of which can cost you marks!
It’s important to have a PE tutor to help guide you through the course so that you don’t kick yourself later for making stupid mistakes that could cost you a letter grade!
What are you waiting for, contact us today and get in touch with one of our professional Melbourne based PE Tutors!
